Statutory Requirement (Schedule 26)

Under the WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022, the WorkSafe Commissioner has approved BSBWHS513 as a core risk management unit for the following AQF Level 5 statutory positions:

Description

  • Evidence Portfolio:
    • We require evidence of onsite supervision and experience implementing WHS programs.
    • A typical portfolio will consist of the following documents signed off by yourself, or relating to your work:
      • ID and Resume
      • SWMS / JSA / CRAW or Risk Assessment
      • High-level Risk Management Plans or organisational WHS policies.
      • Evaluations of risk control effectiveness or Audit Reports.
      • Additional WHS/OHS docs, including behavioural observations or other infield KPI.
  • In Class Requirements:
    • Laptop computer with wifi capability.
    • Copy of your site’s Health and Safety Management System (MSMS) for reference.
  • Outcomes:
    • Facilitate Identification: Identify internal/external WHS information and legislative requirements.
    • Lead Risk Assessment: Direct hazard identification processes and document comprehensive risk assessments.
    • Lead Risk Control: Select and implement suitable controls according to the hierarchy of control and WHS laws.
    • Evaluate Effectiveness: Monitor and review the overall organisational WHS risk management process.
